TEST pres. Mala (DMZ, Deep Medi - UK)

We are delighted to announce that the dubstep don is returning to Budapest! When it comes to the spiritual, visceral side of low frequencies, Mala is an essential reference point. As a member of Digital Mystikz and co-founder of the legendary DMZ nights in Brixton, the South London producer did more than witness the birth of dubstep: together with Coki and Loefah, he laid its foundations.

Over the years, his label Deep Medi Musik has become one of the scene's most important benchmarks for quality, balancing stripped-back musicality with heavyweight subs. Mala's sets are never about cheap thrills. They are meditative yet relentlessly powerful journeys. In the spirit of classic sound system culture, slowly breathing rhythms at 140 BPM and chest-compressing bass become a physical experience on the dancefloor. His bag still holds treasured dubplates and genre-defining anthems, delivered without unnecessary posturing.

Established names and emerging talents from the Hungarian scene will provide the warm-up, connecting dubstep's past, present and future. We rarely get such a pure, direct lesson in the power of sub-bass, so this night is recommended not only for devoted fans, but for anyone with an open musical mind. See you in front of the speakers: meditate on bass weight!
